Giraffe at the Phoenix Zoo in Phoenix, Arizona. Opened in 1962, it is the largest privately owned, nonprofit zoo in the United States. The zoo was founded by Robert Maytag, a member of the family that owned a famous appliance company. The Wigwam Motel on Route 66 in Holbrook, Arizona, where one can indeed “spend the night in a wigwam.” The brainchild of Frank Redford, this is one of what wer originally seven Wigwam Motels nationwide. The "Texas Room" at Bayou Bend mansion, the former home of philanthropist and collector Ima Hogg in Houston, Texas.
