Drum loop and bass.

Here's a bass loop from my upcoming song "bolt". It's kinda dupstep one, so i hope you have a some kind of use for this.

A sample of me pumping 8th notes in the key of g (notes used e,g,b,d)on a late 70's ibanez bass. I ran the bass through a pod xt and an old 4track. It was cut from a song i recorded for my solo project "the heirs of rockefeller".

This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. Very bass harmonics for kick (to be played in parallel) and at lower volume for snare and tom bass harmonics. It was created by filtering a 60 hz sine wave (remove all the high frequencies but also the extreme low).

Superlux s241/u3 small diaphragm condenser mic_schertler unico ii_tascam rw4u_no editing and no effects.

I designed this sound from scratch using a 20 millisecond pop of audio looped and processed heavily using ableton live's sampler instrument. The loop is 2 bars long, but it this sample file i trail off for quite a few seconds sustaining the note to show off the sustain processing on the synth.

This is a 808 bass which i sampled from my novation drum station. The sample covers one full octave from c#0-c1. The sound was recorded through a yamaha m1516 which pretty much has the same circuit as a api. As you can hear it sounds pretty much the same as a roland 808. The drum station uses analog modeling so the sound is pretty nice. Feel free to use in your productions. There is no need to contact me if you release a track with this sample just enjoy.
