This sample was created solely from instruments downloaded on freesound. Org. Having experimented more, i created another break with lfo band frequencies adjusted to create a white noise type break. I then played them simultaneously and mixed one into the other to create the effect of moving the eq in real time. To fully appreciate this, you need to download and play it seemlessly looped. This is recorded at 90 bpm for the continuum 4 project. You can visit the thread here:. Http://www. Freesound. Org/forum/dare-the-community/32704/. Here are the sounds used in the break:. Machine composed electronic music. The track made me think of insects. Searched for a sound to mix it with. Found this lovely sound recorded by mikelrnieto. It could be insects. . . When you complete the level. The sound is created with reason 4. 0 and m-audio midi controller, recorded with reason 4. 0. It is made in 16 dec. 2014 in estonia.
Production step :this sound is from a sound recording of a key hiting an iron bar. I take just one sound from my reccording and copy/paste in a new track. I amplify the sound and do a low pass filter. I copy paste my track and create another one just above. I move this new track for create a gap between the two tracks. On the second track i supress some of the beat for create a rythm. On the second track i change the pitch, for making a sound more high-pitched. Description :this sound looks like the ring of a bell tower. The rythm change every two bars who makes him unique and not settled. This sound is, for me, a reference of the track begining of dark techno music. Typologie de schaeffer :. This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).
