These beautiful birds stay here in southern illinois all year long, and are a welcome flash of color and blue crest once autumn begins arriving. Now, i have always thought this call of the blue jay is not the prettiest or melodic at all; in fact, hearing the call of a blue jay can be a bit unnerving. . . An m4 carbine being fired in short bursts, great for supressive fire. Created in audacity by taking a. 223 gunshot (recorded on a private firing range), adding more bass and amplifying the sound, and then adding shells dropping by adding in the sound of rattling silverware, and finally adding a bit of echo to finish it off. Features that heavy bass thump of a powerful assault rifle with shells ejecting and falling to the ground. I couldn't find any other sound quite like this so i created one. Enjoy!.

Bi-drum finale. This sound provides an impact point, an action conclusion suggestion. I combined two drum sound samples, one of the impact with a deep echo, and one a hollow wood tube strike against a hard object to a certain rhythm. This sound was the result of a scary accident. I was looking at the view in the webcam of an open doorway leading into a dark hallway in my house, when suddenly this haunting feedback faded in and looped repeatedly, until i pulled the volume down. It was unexpected, and quite unnerving. I had to laugh about it once i realized what had happened. But that first moment had me expecting some ghostly apparition to come in from the darkness. Anyhow, it's just an accidental feedback loop. I've had it in my archives for about 20 years now. I thought it might be useful to someone else. Enjoy!.

As i heared our doog eating the crunchy vegetables, i quick got my zoom h4n to record it. The maybe some noise of a fly or traffic in the background, but the internal mics were very close to the food-bowl. I had some issue when i came very close as the dog tried to eat as fast as possible, so i prefered to lay the recorder on the ground and kept away with my arm so the eating could be more relaxed. But the dog gobbled anyway in a fast way. Enjoy the soundscape. Maybe use it for asmr ;-).

I created another file to play when you don't recognise a telephone number that calls you, this time the people in the hoax have scottish accents and the music is deliberately degraded to make it scratchy, tinny and annoying. I was inspired by those nasty auto-switchboards you encounter now whenever you call anywhere, my thoughts were that if a spam caller conected to an auto-switchboard hopefully they would remove your number from their listings thinking it a business (most scammers and spammers only want to call residential numbers). Please enjoy using this to annoy the hell out of those bothersome spam callers. The music is royalty free for personal use.

This is a mix of everything so far; not exactly, but whether there are lots of cartoon sounds on the internet, they kinda look old with the “flashy” quality. Here is a collage of cartoon sounds i mixed up. Some of these sounds are usually hannah barbera, but a few ones from digiffects, i guess. Imagine something like this you can hear in a children’s cartoon, like spongebob, fairly odd parents, etc. Idk lol. Enjoy!.

The pretty, soothing, trilling song of the pine warbler. These callings were recorded on sunday march 30th 2014 in a small pine grove, in the middle of a larger forest. On the day i recorded this, the weather was perfectly sunny, and mild -- temps about 60 degrees -- with very little wind. When i first heard this song, i was instantly reminded of a sewing machine. Enjoy. Recording made with my zoom h4-n field recorder, using a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone placed on a tripod, about 3 feet above the forest floor. To make sure i got a decent level on this soft call, i did have to crank up the recording volume to about 85 on the scale of 100.

Made this in bitwig, i used 17 different layers to make this. A kick drum is added before the gunshot to add punch. Sub bass is synthesized for the deep lowend, 30-50hz. All layers were selected for certain frequencies using eq and then processed together with multiband compression. Shell sounds, mechanical noises were added for more depth. Using automation, the pitch, decay, and phase of every single layer used other than the subbass, morph to give life to the sound loop, and not sound robotic. Even though it "might" sound real, its an illusion of sounds being played from a midi clip. Enjoy.

If you stand just underneath a commercial airplane as it's coming in to land (as was the case here at dfw airport) and so long as there's not a lot of noise around you (like loud traffic, etc. ) then when the jet passes overhead, what you can't see is that at the tips of the wings are rapidly spinning vortices of air that coil off the wingtips as the plane passes through air. These long, coiling spirals of air will eventually "close" and as that happens, it creates a momentary but bizarre, surreal sound that you really need to hear for yourself in person to get the full effect. This was the best i could capture on august 15th, 2022. Enjoy!.

My mother's house is the keeper of a trend by sligh grandfather clock named bonnie. Each time i pass by it, i admire the sound. I decided to capture it. It's mostly a clean recording outside of the occasional bird chirp or atmospheric sound. Easy to clean up, edit, and loop. Enjoy!. Recorded using an oktava mk-012-01 through a focusrite scarlett 2i2 audio interface; captured at 96k 32bit float, and bounced down to 48k/24bit in pro tools on windows 11. The mic was placed about two inches away, perpendicular to the face of the clock with the dial window open. The only processing i applied was a fabfilter proq3 48db/oct low cut at 110hz to eliminate of some of the room/ac rumble.

In-cabin recording of a qatar airways boeing 787 dreamliner landing at doha international airport (qatar), followed by announcements in arabic and english. The aircraft touches down at 0:47, the english in-flight arrival announcement is broadcast at 3:44, and there is a bounty of ambient noise including seatbelts clicking, bags zipping, and chatter from passengers. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat. Pine cones dropping and landing on a bed of pine needles. This recording was made on a windy day, so there is some background "whooshing" wind; all in all, i think these pine cones softly landing on the needles can be put to good use. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder, with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. For this recording i literally wanted to get as close as i could, so i placed the shotgun microphone on the ground and carefully let the pine cones fall as close to the microphone as possible, but without hitting it. *not easy to do. I recording made near some woods of the wind ebbing and flowing on an unusually mild day in late november of 2013. What i find unique about this recording is a lone cricket calling out at various times of this recording. . . Makes for a nice, almost melancholy feeling. It is almost like the cricket is not quite ready to hide away for the winter and is taking advantage of a rare 70-degree november day to call out as if to say "hey, i'm still here, waiting. . . In the grass. ". With headphones on, works wonders in clearing your head. . . Recording made at 6:30 at night with my handy / zoom h4 n recorder using the internal microphones, and of course using a very very stout wind screen. Enjoy.

Start with chaos. In this sound/patch you have the possibility to enjoy chaos and feedbacki use my sloth lfos and jerkoff - another chaos moduleim possible sick i like this - thou its simple. Sloth modulate vco and filter cut of frequencyfeedback from vco to the filter via a vca controlled by a looping envpan fx also controlled by sloth - same env that controls the frequency. The "prassel" rustle sound is great in my earsjerkoff, exp vca, function and another sloth. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is - there are many cycles to consideronly short sounds - no, goodamplitude variation - yep goodpitch variation - mediumtimbre variation - some, via filter/two soundsmusical value - i think so!entertaining - yes?!.

This is the second version without the mechanical bolt. Maybe can be used for bolt action rifles. Made this is ableton live, it is multilayered with the top end of a 9mm and the low/mid range of an ak47. Another carbine sound is faded in after the transients to give more sustain. Two reverbs fade in and out creating a smooth transition and blend. A little white noise is added for subtle sheen and air. All the layers were grouped together into a single band compressor and ran through serum fx distortion and then into a krush distortion plugin for added fatness. A blending reverb was used to glue the sounds into the same space and ran into a final transient designer which is adding a little more snap and punch and clipping the excess transients off. Enjoy.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. This was recorded in the burbank town center food-court area. I was careful to avoid specific conversation for legal purposes. There was a cranky baby nearby, so you get an occasional frantic cry. Welcome to rome. We needed some drum cadences for julius caesar and i was unable to find any i really liked so we grabbed our orchestra drummer here at the theater and we came up with 13 different cadences for us including jfk's funeral march. Most are done on snare and then again on a single tom, easily looped for duration. They have no verb on them so you can add as you desire for your space. This is my attempt to emulate the sound of the harmony 64 chimes that can be heard on some ice cream trucks. I used a single note from a low-quality recording from a demo of the chimes for the base synth then cleaned up the audio using audacity and set the starting pitch to "c". (in particular, i used the first note of the "can-can" chime from http://www. Microminiatures. Com/tunes. Html). I then composed a short variation of a well-known song (bicycle built for two in this case). A huge ice storm moves in to the back woods of north carolina on 01/30/2014. First it snowed. . . And then it sleeted. When all that sleet froze on the surface of the snow, walking in this winter-wonderland produced an amazing sound. So, i put on my boots, grabbed my zoomh4n and set out to record the magic!. This would be very useful as foley fx for walking in any frozen environment. I walked on various surfaces and depths of ice and snow throughout. Some raw and dirty random samples of a small, out of tune yamaha pianino (upright piano) at a friends flat. There's noise of my laptop and there even might be some traffic noise in the background. A mysterious dark melody i made on oboe in garageband to something called victors crypt. It's basically like "haunting oboe" but with extra background sounds so make it more wicked and eerie. A nice ambient recording made on sunday morning may 5th 2013 around 6:30 in the morning in the shawnee national forest in deep southern illinois. I had originally wanted to get good, clear recordings of the tremendous numbers of warblers that are here, but a good, soaking steady light rain decided to stick around. I though, what the heck, that is a part of our natural world also, so let's get it all "on tape". . . . Hope you enjoy this. To keep as much water off of my h4n as possible, i put one of my big, furry, knitted insulated sock-cap over the recorder, that at least kept my recorder from swimming in water.

The eerily quiet soundscape of a small midwestern town during the covid-19 shutdown. . . This was recorded in town, on a friday night (april 3rd, 2020) at a time when there is almost always more traffic, people and families walking and talking on the sidewalks. . This recording started at 11pm at night. . . What a strange, weird eerie feeling of this track. You will hear a lot of steady wind gusts, dry leaves being moved around by the strong southerly flow. . Equipment: sony pcm-m10 recorder sitting on a small tripod about 3 inches from the ground. . . I had to really crank up the gain on this one because everything was so quiet---almost as if the neighborhood was holding its breath. . . . Hope you enjoy this unique ambiance.

That interesting time of year between winter and spring. Actually, here in the northern hemisphere winter can still be strongly felt. . . The outside temp. When this recording was done was a very cold 30 degrees f. But, as you can hear, the main players in this small-town soundscape are the american robins (turdus migratorious) who are busy vocalizing and setting up their territory. Despite the cold, these summer residents don't seem to let that get in their way. Recording made at 6:30am on tuesday march 13th, 2018 in the backyard of a home in a small town in illinois. Equipment used: sound devices 702. Microphone: audio-technica bp4025 stereo microphone. No processing or post-tweaking at all. One of my favorite spots to hike in illinois has this quite long, and beautiful and rock-lined beautiful creek. Now, even though this creek is in heavy forest, which often leads to very low water levels during the summer, this creek is spring fed so it always has a beautiful ribbon of pure water running 12 months out of the year. I've spent many minutes and countless hours beside this living, breathing water-course pondering the beauty of nature, and reflecting back on my childhood. A childhood filled with much love and many creek adventures. This was recorded on march 8 2021, at a time in the midwest woods when the mayapples are popping up-- lime green umbrellas spotting the forest floor. Raw sound of lips kisses. Used to make these noises many years ago during high school lessons when i was bored in the classroom. Didn't aim it at anyone - did these noises when noone was looking - and just before someone looked, i stopped and pretended like it wasn't me. People didn't get mad though, lots were smiling, and some couldn't hold it for long and bursted out in laughter.
