I have started to read a certain book written by allen strange, "electronic music: systems, techniques, and controls". It's about time i dig into it. Probably it will result in some sounds. . .

Two envelopes trigger each other and the quantizer which is fed with cv from the sloth lfo. Anyway, a modular synth experiment. A triangle wave from an lfo acts as a bass tone.

Patch generating classic space sounds. . . Maybe to much is going on? and to fast. This sound even has an ending :-). A respect to the pioneers in this field. Bebe barron and louis barron. They made the music to forbidden planet (1956).

It's fun to patch up a kind of analog shift register (3 stages). Doepfer a-160 controls the stages. On a-160 i use /2, /4 and /8. I sample slewed noise. No quantizer.

Actually a quite simple patch with not many modules involved. A rewarding patch! have to take some notes. Fm-modulation off-course. Self oscillating filters. Lfos. Sample and hold. Modular fun! well. . . I think its fun.

Formatted for use in the makenoise morphagene eurorack module. These live acoustic recordings i made with a sony pcm m10 around my house / farm in thailand. They concentrate on the percussive hits, scrapes, cuts, frogs, insects, water wells, metal farm things, gongs, railings, fans, crushed snail shells, creaks, dogs, drips and clicks. Useful for musique concrete artists. Https://www. Instagram. Com/p/cczmpenh1n0/?igshid=13qsz9itlxntphttps://www. Instagram. Com/p/cfb6blvhexl/?igshid=b35rj1fju85rfor morphagene users, just rename the wav file "mg1" for it to be seen. The wav file can be used in any sampler but you may not see any of the morphagene slice points - so you need to slice manually. I record music as "mudlogger" using buchla easel/200e, serge 4u and eurorack instruments and as "hoan kiem chess team" using ciat lonbarde instruments. Https://mudlogger. Bandcamp. The sound is going through zoom ms-70cdr. I use the "particer" reverb program. It acts like a compressor and limiter too. . . Kills the dynamics of the modular. Nice anyway - or not. . . And i use the ladik r-330 reverb too.

Three looping envelopes 2 on quadra and one pip slope. Forming a minimal rhythm. It's not stable. I make it even more unstable by injecting some cv to one of the envelopes. Maybe i injected a little to much? cool anyway.

The engine to the hysterical "melody" is formed by a two lfos and a looping envelope performing an ever changing dance of random or maybe chaos. Zooming in and study waveforms in this sound is interesting. The sound is unedited, straight from the analog modular synth. Quantization of the pitch - nope. . .

While i'm at it. Another electronic minute. Made this patch really fast. No random! i use chaos. You can loop this sound. A modular is like sound lego. I like that. Relaxing. Well, not the sounds. . . Totally unedited sound.

A simple beat. I have shaped this kick myself in the modular synth. The high-hat is from barton musical circuits decaying analog noise (bmc23). The other sound is a small sample. . . Analog delay on that sample.
