Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it. My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. This is from a recording session trying to create laser weapon sounds. I just used the same technique as ben burtt used in wall-e (with the slinky and the contact mic). This is unprocessed, no eqs, compression, reverb or anything was added. I used a long piece of curled up aluminum wire which i hung from a tall structure at my house and the main object i used to oscillate the wire was a drum stick. For the recording i used the blue icicle and recorded into reaper. The contact mic is my own creation from a diy i found online (roughly €5 to make). Its a sine wave folded 4 times by a cgs inspired wavefolder module (kinda like the metalizer from the minibrute). The whole thing is then modulated with an external function generator that controls amount and frequency of modulation. This is what came out and it's pure junky drone noises, so goddamn nasty. Absolutely love them. Feel completely free to sample this and use it for your own purposes. This is a diy synthesizer i'm building and unfortunately it is still a prototype, but i'm gonna finish it soon and hope to sell it. Cool indeed, isn't it?.

I recording made near some woods of the wind ebbing and flowing on an unusually mild day in late november of 2013. What i find unique about this recording is a lone cricket calling out at various times of this recording. . . Makes for a nice, almost melancholy feeling. It is almost like the cricket is not quite ready to hide away for the winter and is taking advantage of a rare 70-degree november day to call out as if to say "hey, i'm still here, waiting. . . In the grass. ". With headphones on, works wonders in clearing your head. . . Recording made at 6:30 at night with my handy / zoom h4 n recorder using the internal microphones, and of course using a very very stout wind screen. Enjoy.

This is a recording of a metal desk creaking with very little movement. I recorded this sound, amplified it, and removed the white noise. That's the only processing this sound has gone through. I was fooling around with audacity and created this neat little sound. I have no clue how to lower the volume, and really, i mean it: this thing is loud. I keep my volume at 10% and i couldn't even listen to this thing with my headphones. I have tried to lower the volume (so that it doesn't hurt the ears) but to no avail. If you by chance know how (in audacity) then feel free to tell me in the comments and i'll re-upload a non-deafening version. I recorded this from a balcony (5th floor) in the middle of a summer day (end of july), using a mid/side set (mkh30 + c480 b-uls/ck62-df omni) into sound devices mixpre3. Not any processing has been added, except a plain m/s to x/y stereo conversion and low-cut filter (30hz). This is a generally quiet atmo, sometimes light wind comes in, some seagulls and other birds are there at times, some construction work happens etc. The traffic noise is present, but in the distant way. Feel free to use it in any of your productions. Not for resale.

This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the huge door to out, then the lighter (which helps to feel the cold around) and the sound of someone smoking a cigarette. First of all, i cut the two fragment,from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the door sound. After i reduced noises, because all seemed better after noises reduced ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the lighter and smoker one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

Fireworks- recording fireworks is really strange. There are two distinct things going on with fireworks- the sound of the explosion, and the powerful physical impact our bodies feel when all that sound energy reaches us. Thing is, the mics don’t have any way of capturing that physical impact; they can only record the pop sound of the initial explosion. So what ends up on tape? honestly, it doesn’t sound much different than popping popcorn in your kitchen. Even with my good mics, i think i had to boost the low end a little bit in this recording to make it actually sound more like fireworks than popcorn. But judge for yourself. A short recording of construction work on a ten-storey apartment building in the blackhorse road area of walthamstow, london. General construction noises. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). This is a small jam i recorded myself on my diy spring reverb circuit i've built for a friend. It sounds really good with music. In this session, i've only used coninuous triangle/sine/square waveforms and jammed on my for pots: input gain,hp filter cutoff, feedback amount, output gain. I'm sorry if the recording clips sometimes, but there's a big dynamic so i couldnt see how much loud it was. Feel free to take it and use it for sampling or sound design layering.

Squeaky audio cable-to-speaker incomplete connection. One end is plugged into a speaker and the other is not plugged into anything. The squeaking sound is made from my fingers touching the tip and sides of the metal tip of the non-connected end of the cable. The variation of sound and pitch is from moving my fingers up and down the metal tip in different speeds, angles, and placements. The sound has been slowed way down, and the pitch has been taken way down too, to create a low drone sound for industrial purposes or in mad chemistry lab scenes, etc. Anything with a dark, industrial, and slight sci-fi feels.

For best experience, make sure you:. * don't look at the sound waves (the sound display) at all!* are in a pitch black dark, closed room. * for ultra feeling, turn up the volume to 100% and set the bass to maximum if you have good speakers! otherwise put on headphones with volume 100% (which should be high but normal gaming volume). * immerse yourself. --------------------------------------------------------------. I experimented yesterday and got this. Not what i expected at all. Sounds like it's straight from hell. Aggressive. Disturbing. Unsettling. This sound can for example be used in horror games, for example when the player enters a new level - you name it!. /matrixxx.
