Two dogs are barking in my front yard, with the longest-barking one being a 3-years-old fox terrier chihuahua mix with whom i have an attachment to but who isn't my dog. You can also hear crickets chirping in the background. I used my lenovo laptop's built-in microphone to record this (the same device i had used to record the alarm clock sound & the restaurant-cleanup field recording).

Stereo recording of a group of street musicians playing circus style music in paradise circus, birmingham uk. Recorded on a zoom h2 digital recorder in wav format walking past the musicians. Trumpet does some phase effects as the reflected sound from a large building mixes with the direct sound. Recorder was in bag so sounds of movement, and plenty of street noise. Short extract so as not to deprive performers of any rights - this is a field recording of a street soundscape.

I recorded this while searching for farm sounds. On the recording you can hear footsteps in the grass, then the opening of the latch in the gate to the field and then further steps. This short recording was made during a sound search in the scotish border area of scotland. I recorded on the zoom h5 handy recorder, i used superlux headphones. Rough, rubbery sounding scraping noises, very clean despite being recorded very close to the sound source. Recording ends with a slightly different, more near-field scraping sound, rising in pitch.
