I recorded this for a short film i was working on and decided it sounded too good to keep it to myself. The mirror was broken with a kick but it can sound like it was broken by anything. It can also pass as a window breaking. Thank you for using my sounds! :3.

This is a recording of myself sleeping, beginning ~ 1:00 am local time (~ 3hrs after going to bed) on january 10th, 2020 (which i later discovered was a full moon). I was in the midst of experimenting with recording myself all night long out of curiosity, using a laptop placed near the head of my bed. This particular recording was the only anomalous one (the rest consisting mostly of just breathing or snoring with occasional sleep-talking). This ~2 hour recording has several interesting properties, which make it hard for me to believe that these sounds were actually going on while i was sleeping. On the other hand, i don't have a memory of editing this file if i did. Either way, i find it unsettling. I found the file in oct 2021 while organizing my samples. As far as i can remember, this is the original raw recording. On further inspection, i discovered that it has some additional peculiar properties that make it even harder to believe i could have made it without remembering doing so. The audio spans almost exactly 118min (7080s). There’s a frequency sweep with a cycle-length of 6480ms that repeats throughout the entire recording. Dividing the 118min by 6. 48min (60 cycles) results in 18 parts containing exactly 60 cycles and a remainder of 12 cycles. This sound is recorded at dawn in penang (malaysia). I was awakened by the sound of morning prayer. The mosque is located 100 meters from the hotel where i was staying. Recorded for the zoom h2.

I took an rca to 1/8 inch cable and plugged it into my sound card input. The sound is created by sticking the two rca plug ends to a 9 volt battery's + and - terminals. . . I don't know if the noise comes from the battery or the computer, though.

I mangled the sound of some sirens going off. I put them all together and thought they sounded like massive sirens going off, perhaps because it was the beginning of the end. Made with audacity.
