. . On the third plant of an apartment building in a calm, suburbian district. There is only a little traffic resonating through one half opened window of the staircase. Once in a while you can here the neighbour's kids laughing or yelling. Almoste unhearable there may be an adult's voice or someone speaking on a television and some unspecific sounds coming from one of the flats. Plus one or two bird's singing can be heard from the trees nearby. It's juli 2021.

Recorded during riding by attaching a zoom h4n at my left leg. The xy-microphone pointed vertically direction to the seat/engine, so no spectacular stereo-sound, but different sound timbre on l/r. The exhaust had a rusted hole so it's not the original vespa-sound but more rough. Different styles of driving. Including starter and switching off. No sound editing was made, so maybe you like to filter away low frequencies (some little wind was behind the shield).

Let me just say, this is way more popular than i anticipated it being. I'd like to thank everyone contacting me to use it in their films and what not and also apologize to them, since my freesound account was connected to an email that i no longer use. That's been fixed now. For anyone in the future, it's totally a-ok to use this as long as you tell me as much and maybe credit me however you want (my name's jillian bean). Thanks for the positive feedback!.

Hello, this is the_very_real_horst out of duisburg, germany. Sound you'r listening to belongs to two little tibetan silver bowls;those normaly were used in couples of two, three, seven or nine as sacrificial bowl on home altar of tantric buddhisme, with rice, water, salt etc. For they have different sound, i pushed them with my ancient pendant of alittle chinese sword; that i find it sounds good;. Thank you for sharing my interest for ancient musicinstruments. Joy and peace on your way,the_very_real_horst from duisburg, germany.

I thought i had a diy contact mic somewhere, but i did not find it. But i found another thing. A contact mic for an instrument tuner. But (again) it had a 1/4 inch mono plug. That meant i could not connect it to my computer mic in. But (i know) what if i plug it in to my modular synth. Surprise. . . Then i could add a little filter, pan and spring reverb. So clamped the mic on to my external 3,5 inch disc drive and recorded. This is my submission to dare 51.

Needed different sounds of men crying in pain. Didn´t found the right expressions of pain here on freesound. So recorded a set of different noises, grunts and crys. Made some fast mixes - but you can take all the originals and do your own creative combination. But for the stressed and lazy ones - you can use the fast mixes :-) i just cleaned them up. Si hopefully you find the right little drama of pain for your project here. Good luck and thanx to freesound for their awesome job !!!!.

Edison yellow paraffin cylinder recording of Arthur Sullivan giving an after-dinner speech at the "Little Menlo" in London. George Gouraud had come to London to demonstrate Edison's "Perfected" Phonograph. Gouraud demonstrated the phonograph to various celebrities in a series of Phonograph Parties in the autumn of 1888 and made recordings of their reactions as messages for delivery to Thomas Edison. Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900) was one of these guests, and it is his speech to Edison that appears here. Length: 1:34 Transcription: “

My first little attempt at making some film-like sound effects. Alot of bass in this one, tried to cut it below 30-50hz. I just want to point out to the people having a listen, that the sample that streams on the website has a small static-like noise in it. . The download version will not have this noise, i believe the compression for streaming degraded the sound a bit.

Semi-auto rifle simulation, created using zoom h1. Artificial gun shots to simulate a semi-auto weapon in battle. Mic capsules were tapped with a popsicle stick to create this sound. I recorded some rain outside my front door. This is a tuned (a440) sample which you can use to achieve a sort of soft-yet-textured synth string sound in a virtual instrument like ableton's sampler. I think adding a little fake vibrato to it with multiple conflicting volume lfos sounds pretty nice. You're free to use this sound without attribution. Please link people here to share rather than redistributing yourself. If you do use this sound, let me know! i'd love to hear what you do with it.

Fast moving stream down from one of the waterfalls at silver falls state park in oregon. Water is flowing over rocks. Recorded, sorry to say, on my canon t3i mounted on tripod about 3 feet from the water so there is very little stereo separation. Runs at about -10db. Enjoy, i plan to upload more from my trip. Free to use, but if used commercially it would be nice if you can add "marcus pun" to the credits, and i hope you do that with any sound you use from freesounds. ;o).

The fundamentals of this patch is from the doepfer home pagehttp://www. Doepfer. De/a100_man/a100_patch. Htmthe patch they call "random melody". I call the sound "random melody from doepfer site". Boring. . . I added a voice with some delay/reverb fx and some simple drums. The high-hat is made from white noise and the bass drum isa self oscillating filter. I have used a minor scale on my doepfer a-157 quantizer. This sound is slitly treated in audacity. A little compressor and limiter. Review from one of my kids: "well, there is some rhythm".

This is my first submission to the site. I've recently been exploring sound design a little bit more and thought i would provide something. Here is 15 minutes of ambient sound recorded around 5 am on october 10th, 2011. I used a shure sm58 microphone through a native instruments audio 8 dj interface. Without a microphone amplifier or my active microphone ready to use i ended up amplifying this about 52 db then removed the extraneous noise by 80% @ 40 db using the noise reduction plug-in in adobe audition cs5. 5. Finally, saving the result to wav @ 44,100 hz, 16-bit.

Little school pencil bag full of pencils, pens, sharpeners, rulers and other stuff. Sounds are surprisingly variable and could be used not for just bag bust also for layering audio for weapon reloading for games. I finally decided to begin uploading sounds here (so those are my very first sounds here)those are old recordings which i've done about 2-3 years back on my phone for personal projects, before i've got decent recorder, those sounds are the best sounding among the others. To be honest, they sound surprisingly well, considering that those recorded on average phone with huge noise floor.

What effects the color of the wave here on freesound? i could ask, but here is a little test. Part 1 - a (about) 60hz tone going from sinus to triangle (vcv-rack vco-2)part 2 - same tone. Sinus wave. An accelerating vibrato. Part 3 - now 2 tones. Same 60hz sinus tone plus another sinus tone slowly increasing in frequency creating beating effects. The second, rising, vco has a lower amplitude. All three part has the same peak amplitude (-4db)#colortest.

This is a single guitar string plucked with a pick directly at the headstock, that means between the tuners and the nut. There the string is very short and tight, resulting in a high, almost piano-like tone. Also, since there is no sound box, the tone is rather quiet. I used this for a sampler and i liked the sound of it. This is the raw recording. If you want to use it in a sampler too, i recommend adding some eq, reverb and maybe some delay. It is not perfectly in tune though, the closest note is a#. You might tweak the tuning a little bit when using it in combination with other tuned instruments. This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the zip of the pocket and then the falling keys sound. First of all, i cut the two fragment, from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the zip sound, which was pretty bad recorded but, after reduced noises, all seemed better ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the falling keys one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

My keurig coffee maker has been sounding a little rough so i decided to record it with my zoom h1n this morning as it made me a cup of coffee. It's the entire cycle with the general noise of a kitchen. Mainly you can hear my 20 year old fridge humming in the background during the quit parts of the keurig cycle. Don't plan on using it for anything, so have fun with it. The audio from when the coffee starts to pour into my cup is on the left side, so that was pretty cool to listen too on the headphones when i played it back.

A walking recording, starts off with a very noisy garbage truck, then all sorts of other street sounds in east village, nyc. Ends with me entering my apartment building through a double door. Explicit content starts at around -2:00 where a guy wants the *whole* world to hear his drama and he uses some explicit language while i'm waiting to cross the avenue to my building. File also edited a little bit for time.

This was a recording taken on a small train riding around the louisville zoo in kentucky, usa. I took this towards the end of the tour, and was on the back of the train so you can hear the announcer quite clearly directing us. Sorry if there’s some talking in the background, i was siting next to my aunt’s little foster child at the time and he was enjoying himself quite a bit. You can hear the train rumble against the tracks and slowly slow down, as well as some chatter of the riders and passerby. Used this myself in my song bossa nova- https://soundcloud. A hot summers day in the deep swedish forest. Recorded with zoom h5 with two dpa 4060 mounted in a ab stereo fashion. Birds chatting and bugs flying by is major elements in this field recording. Decided not to remove to much of the bugs in post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Hope you like it.

This lovely little toy piano has been a member of my parent’s home since before i can remember. These days it falls under the jurisdiction of my 4-year old niece, who was ever so kind as to allow me to record it!. It has a fabulous tinkling and out-of-tune carnival sort of sound, and i wanted to capture that before the piano was destroyed altogether. I have editing the original recordings and built a kontakt instrument with them, available for free on my website at www. Framingnoise. Com. Enjoy! and if you want to send me a link to what you’ve done with the piano in the comments below, i surely would love to hear it :).

I needed a very specific brand of lollipop with a chocolatey center for a short film i'm working on. None of my library crunch fx sounded right, so i chomped into one myself. Just call me mr. Owl. Recorded on an iphone, about an inch from my face. Just a single crunch edited to have a little extra tail. The effect came out as a satisfying crunch with decent low-mid range. Could be pitched down a bit to act as bones, or maybe a small to medium sized tree branch. I may record more of these after i visit the dentist next.

A recording of a typical busy, yet peaceful later afternoon sound-scape of a small midwestern town at 5:30pm on a weekday. This was recorded on tuesday may 24th, 2016 using the marantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me66 microphones. . . True stereo recording. You will hear the delightful sound of neighborhood kids playing a friendly - or sometimes not so friendly - game of wiffleball which adds to the reflective nature of this recording. The trilling bird calling towards the end of the recording is the beautiful little, rusty-capped chipping sparrow. These chipping sparrows converge on the midwest around this time and their calls can be mistaken as an insect. Enjoy this summer 2016 recording and maybe it will trigger wonderful, innocent memories of your own childhood.

My contribution to the freesouond collaborative performance of gyorgi ligeti's "poème symphonique for 100 metronomes". The metronome is marked "wittner" and "made in w. Germany". It ran for a little over 13 minutes at about 140. 7 bpm. Recorded on the hardwood floor of my bedroom, with the mic in front about 30 cm away. Equipment used: oktava mk102 mic, art digital mpa preamp, m-audio audiophile card. This sample is completely unprocessed. It looks limited or clipped, but i can't hear it - must be from the tube preamp (i had the gain cranked way up). It's pretty quiet, but if you listen carefully you may hear some noises in the background, especially near the beginning where i leave the room.

Bit of the score from a government educational film entitled "injected water protected water," available from archive. Org under the cc 1. 0 license. Conveniently, the soundtrack of this little beauty was dual mono with one track for dialog and one track for this fantastically awful score. I simply cut up the track into individual cues. All the level changes, abrupt endings, bad edits, etc. Are all native to the original material. For the original film in all of its early 90's vhs glory, go here: http://www. Archive. I went out to the lake to record some ducks. This day they weren’t squawking as much as i’d hoped, but the wind was calmer than it normally is, and the wind really is your biggest enemy when making outdoor recordings like these. But overall, the recording isn’t bad. The ducks are smallish black ones with white beaks called the american coot. Lots of tweeting birds in there too, especially the first half, and i think those are just the normal small sparrows that you see everywhere. Couple people chatting, but they’re way in the distance. A little bit of a plane or two overhead, but i think i edited most of that out. Nady stereo condenser microphonefocusrite saffire pro24 interfacelogic 8 on a macbook prolake murray in san diego.

Dubstep bass: 110 bpm wobble at 1/16th note, half of the samples as a sine lfo and saw lfo descending. Sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2. Random presets with lfo settings on key parts, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down.
