Took a piano recording and chopped it into multiple pieces,. Put those pieces into a drum machine and played around with it,. In the end i added a simple drumbeat pattern on top ;-).

A sound atmosphere loop i created using cubase for a suspenseful chapter of a roleplaying campaign. May also be used as background atmo for ghost stories, steampunk games, or whatever haunts you!.

Interesting (but painful) sounds made with a zoom h2 (front mics, low gain) connected to a laptop via usb. The signal was piped to old creative sbs250 spekers with 16ms of latency (i'm using jack audio connection kit and linux). That's how my feedback loop came into existance. I turned up the volume and started to move the mics around, geting a lot of different sounds ranginf from simple tones to strange lfoish sounds. The sound touches 0db one times, but is rather undistorted (at least digitally). Recorded with audacity @ 48khz/16-bit and saved as flac.

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear. Another drum track i made for a friend to jam with using the the real drum sounds in fruityloops. Its a 6 bar loop comprising of a beat with hats and the with ride and back to the hats again. Originally it was programmed at 55 bpm but sounds better at 90 or so.
