Recorded in pritzker park in the south loop area of downtown chicago. I am sitting towards the back (west) of the park near the end of the path. The microphones are pointed roughly southeast towards the el train tracks. Time of the recording was 5:22pm. Weather was warm, in the upper 80s. Recording details: 2 audio technica at4022s in rycote windshields > sound devices 302 mixer > tascam dr-40 recorder.

Experiments with ornament & crime "viznutcracker, sweet!" mode into braids generated several minutes of digital glitch sounds. These were then edited into a morphagene reel (and one-shot sample pack). The sounds are useful in isolation. This is how lost my shoes at the mexico city metro, it was almost like the scene in the harry potter's movies when they get into a looping parallel dimension until you get out in another dimension, yes i really felt i went into another dimension inside the metro and that's the exact sound from when it happened. I recorded these because i neeeded a sound when a player slices a metal object. But it can be used for cooking sounds etc. As well obviously. The later ones are useful for creating loops and the impact usually sounds quite different which offers some needed variation. You can try to add some crackling fire sound if you need it to sound more powerful. There is no need to credit me but i would be happy if you tell me here if you use it and what for :).

I was wondering how to make a glitch soynd since i was downloading a lot of that. Ended up making this beat type thing. ( needs compression). I recorded my self saying "how the f%%k do i make a glitch sound!?" i reversed the f word for censorship. Then it use the mix modulation function in caustic's modular synth to modulate it with a 909 beat & a 8bit synth sound.

Each accidental pattern was mined out of a much longer recording. I noticed these interesting sequences of noises while editing other samples over the years and threw them into a catch-all folder. All of these were recorded with a usb-stick mic so they have a nice lo-fi distorted quality. Try looping any of these patterns and you'll hopefully understand why i selected them.
