A recording of the small eiderbach brook flowing through the eiderbachtal in rhineland-palatinate. Occasional birdsong can be heard. The recording was taken at an idyllic spot where the small creek flows over pebbles and around rocks, in the dense vegetation of trees and bushes. The recording was made on 3th july 2022 at 11:40 am with my huawei p10 lite, no additional processing was applied.

Record of the walk and start of the car. On the recording you can hear footsteps on the rocky ground. Opening the car and then putting the key to the ignition and starting the car. Car sound is audible inside the car and may be hard to hear. I made the recording on the zoom h5 handy recorder. The headphones used are superlux. I used a sandisk 32 gb card. Regards :).

Capoeira mestre calango was nice enough to do a couple of short recordings on the berimbau for me. A berimbau is a one stringed instrument with the string made from the inside liner of a truck tire, it has a claxia(sp?) a shaker with it and is modulated by placing the gourd against the stomach and removing it. Done with hdp2 and two sennheiser mics 66 67, was in 24 bit 96khz, downconverted to 16b at 44. 1, a relatively clean recording at a very high level.

I'm shocked no one uploaded a sound like this prior 2020! it was made using layering of crackling sounds, deep drum for base, chain sound effect, and of course a nice swoosh. This is a field recording made with a zoom h1-n recorder. As we approached a nest in a tall douglas fir tree, a red-tailed hawk flew out, landed in a tree near us, and called out constantly. Perhaps these calls were trying to distract us from the nest, where we could see, with binoculars, two young heads in the wide nest. This is a recording of four of those calls.

Made from a tom drum i created with xfer serum in reaper. Rendered the instrument as audio, then, sampled a small section of the tom and looped it infinitely to create a static frequency. Then i added the reapitch vst and created a smooth automation curve down to -24 semitones. Lastly, i added a short fade in and long fade out.

Real recording of an ar15 layered minimally with a kick drum for sub-bass region and trigger sound and processed with some plugins like transient designers, multiband compression and clipping. Eq was used for tonal shaping and frequency cutting here and there for a more polished sound. Single shot recording assembled into a burst fire loop. Made in ableton live. Enjoy.

This is me playing around with my various string instruments. I decided to try to create a creepy string texture-ish sound, but it came out sounding like a haunted string orchestra. I hope you like it. I used a foot-long violin, a full-sized violin, a ukulele, and my father's home-made frettless banjo-thing.

Inspired by ben croshaw's point 'n' click horror adventure games, i decided i'd try and see if i can make my own creepy whispers using audacity. This is basically some whispered lines and some really low-volume screams superimposed on one another, with some of these lines reversed. I made this on march 2012 and was recorded on my netbook's slightly damaged built-in mic.

Sound synthesis made from chuck programming language. The model is a connection from an impulse generator to 40 digital filters to 40 delay linesand set feedback between each delay lines. Each delay lines's delay time and cutoff frequency is random. But there was an error in the calculation and the output value overflows. And this create a chaotic behavior in this sample. - - -. This one is a smooth rising soundwith alternating digital aliasing resonances at the end.

This is another loop i made with some software i'm cooking up for unity (to allow users to make short loops like this and embed them in their games without necessarily rendering them to wav/mp3's first). It's winter on vancouver island. The heavy and frequent rains engorge the lakes & streams and they flow into the cowichan river. Engorged by seasonal precipitation this large heritage river churns into a narrow bedrock canyon, turns, and comes out of the turn charging. This is where the recording was made, at river level. Recorded in january with a zoom h1 n, audio quality 48,000 hz. Unedited.
