I did this in my room with my own door. I recorded with not the best microphone in the world, so sorry if its not the highest quality. But i hope you still enjoy it!.
I tapped on my wooden desk a little bit and boosted the noise of it and reduced the backround noise. I used this for a scene of a character falling down stairs.
I placed a couple of sticks on the edges of a nut crackers mouth and applied pressure. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.
I was messing around with some voice effects and somehow ended up with this growl. It sounds like a noise a dinosaur or dragon would make. Or like a clicker from "the last of us. "also, if you slow it down, it sounds like wood creaking. Let me know if it's useful for you, hope it makes for some good sound design with whatever you're doing. I'm excited to hear what you do with this sound if you do use it.
This is the song of a beautiful bird called a rufous-sided towhee. A bird usually found in deep woods, or in heavy brush. I was fortunate though to both see and hear this guy as he was perched in a tree at the edge of a heavy forest. Recorded around 6:30 in the morning on a gorgeous spring day on the last day of march 2012. Rode ntg-2 shotgun mic mounted on a sturdy tripod to reduce handling noise. Enjoy!.
A short sample recorded whilst walking in mulgrave woods, whitby. Features footsteps on a dirt path, breathing, and walking into the entrance of a concrete tunnel.
Ambient recording of stow woods in morwenstow. Includes birds and the sound of a small stream. Hasn't been enhanced in anyways. Recorded with a zoom h5.
A series of sounds of a baseball cap falling and hitting a hard surface (wood). I wanted to capture the sound of the brim of the hat hitting the ground as hits the ground.
I've remastered this sound for my multiplayer roguelike game: https://tangaria. Com. Based at: https://freesound. Org/people/editor_adp/sounds/269484/#comments.
This was a car sound i made for an animated video, though it does not appear in all versions of it. I recall that i made it by dragging a pencil along a piece of wood.
Walking in the woods in johnson city, ny, sept 28, 2015recorded on a pocket mp3 player with built-in mic, i added a limiter, no other processingsome crows joined in at the end.
My bedroom door being closed during a recording. Sony ecm-ds70p mic to a sony minidisc mz-n710 acting as a preamp into my edirol ua-25 audio interface.
I recorded this at night in blanchard spring campground in arkansas, usa. Mostly night insects. In the distance there is a heavy metal door of the campground bathroom opening/closing.
