The local library has a printer whose noise i thought was quite unique. I forgot to record it the first time, so the second time i checked out books i made sure to record it. To me the final effect sounded like a haunted space ship. I began with a 10 second sample of ordinary speech then lowered the pitch, stretched the wave pattern, added echo and reverb. Then i copied portions of the wave pattern to a new track and mixed the two into a mono track. Did this several times while also using noise reduction and normalization.

This is a recording of applause at the end of the concert in a large auditorium. The conductor and performers walk off and on stage for multiple bows throughout. This is recorded with a small field recorder from a seat in the audience. The file politely clips in parts as people near me clapped, but it's not noticeable. The cough in the beginning is easily cut out, the file loops really well, so you can just delete that section, and it will sound continuous.

Process: a while ago i worked on a game and recorded several sound effects, one track after another. With the session set up the way it was, i opened all the channels and selected a section and exported it. After exporting, i threw it into paulstretch, and rendered that at the default settings. Recording of a fairly boisterous stream near my house. It has a lot of motion due to the fact that a branch was caught on the bank of the stream which was being pulled about in different directions resulting in different rates of flow and a varying sound. I was recording some cloth foley when, all of a sudden, a sickening burp emerged straight into the microphone. I think you could also use this sound as part of someone puking. Walk glass crunch scuff - this recording was made in probably 1998 using a senheiser 416 onto dat tape, it was recorded on set at a night club in thailand for a film called "a hero never dies " i was operating the dat and directed by the foley artist who was actually the director of the film a certain mr johnny to. He made all 20 or 30 people on set hush up for this. A great memory for me shared in perpetuity.

Found this ancient mr. Coffee making these creepy sounds whilst brewing. I could get some decent "coffee brewing" sounds out of it, but the moaning and heavy breathing is what makes it. It was raining today and i heard the frogs, decided to record some ambience. So it's just the rain on the street outside my house with the occasional gray tree frog mating call going on too. I needed the sound of a plastic recycle bin being rolled out to the curb. I set my zoom h1n on the sidewalk at the end of my driveway and - in two trips - rolled the cans out to the curb. You will hear me walking to the cans in the right channel, the garbage bin is rolled from the right channel to the center-left. Then repeat for the recycle bin.
